About the event
Go is a fairly young language. It was developed in-house by Google and one of the reasons it was developed was that the founding fathers of Go we're not happy with where C++ and Java had brought them. The 'old' languages lacked support for multicore/multithread systems and were not developed to work in heavily networked environments. Also, they didn't make any improvement to developer productivity. Did I mention how many cups of coffee you can drink while compiling a large C++ code base? Go is going to change that for you. By the way, the founding fathers of Go have earned their merits in B (predecessor of C language) and the UNIX and famous PLAN9 operating systems. Did you know that GO is the language in which a lot of modern tools and systems you love nowadays are programmed? Let me sum up a few of them: Â Â Docker | Kubernetes | Helm | CockroachDB | MongoDBÂ
